SHELLFISHING CLOSURE: Due to the predicted impacts of Hurricane Lee, the Division of Marine Fisheries has implemented a statewide shellfishing closure until further notice starting at sunset Friday Sept. 15th.

As per the order of the Division of Marine Fisheries, all areas on the Oak Bluffs Side of the lagoon are now open to shellfishing, with the exclusion of Brush Pond.

Beach on lagoon side of drawbridge also known as Doug's Cove is closed to swimming due to high bacteria count. Swimming is unsafe and may cause illness. For more information see link or email the Board of Health: lwelch@oakbluffsma.gov

The wildfires in Nova Scotia are producing a smoke plume that is affecting our area. The worst will be today. As always, please call 911 in the event of an emergency.
